Suzanne Graham has always been in the business of making things- from art classes in high school through to her university career where she completed both a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Waterloo in Ontario. Throughout her university days she also maintained an interest in other fields of art by taking classes in everything from welding to cold-form glass fabrication, photography and printmaking, at schools such as the Ontario College of Art and Design, and the Toronto School of Art. However, Suzanne was not only making art, but kept herself busy in the kitchen making homemade goodies as well.

After university, Suzanne worked as a registered architect for Diamond and Schmitt Architects Incorporated. While trying to dream up an original Christmas gift idea, it was in this phase of her life that she discovered soap making. Soon the discovery caught on, and she found herself making soap for friends and family. In no time, she spent a few months waking up early on Saturday mornings to sell her wares at the St. Lawrence Market and eventually sold her soaps at a couple of seasonal artisan shows.

It was this initial taste of the entrepreneurial spirit that not only provided some basic business knowledge and feel for the soap marketplace, but gave Suzanne confidence as a full-time soap maker. In time, she hopes to launch other products inspired by the domestic arts including organic preserves and dainties.
